Start early, book early, arrange early. Pick up a few wedding mags, they have a lot of money saving tips!

We spent less than $1000. We had Sunday dress, got married in our church, got the use of the church for the reception. Neither my husband or I wanted to spend alot of money on a dress you would wear only once.

I'm not totally sure what the total cost of my wedding was because my parents paid for most of it. Something that is really important to do right away is to set a budget. It's also important to talk to both sets of parents and find out what they are willing to contribute and to decide what you can afford to spend. It's not worth it to get into debt
