For many Hispanic girls, their 15th birthday is almost as anticipated as their wedding day – and with just as much planning involved.
There are rehearsals, a church service, a reception, choreographed dances with a court, party favors and, of course, the fabulous dress.
Whether you're planning a big bash or small affair, you can find everything you need for the perfect quince at Sunday's Quinceañera -- Florida Quince Guide and Show, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the A La Carte Event Pavilion, 4050 Dana Shores Drive, in Tampa.
Sponsored by Centro Tampa, a sister publication of The Tampa Tribune, the event is free for girls 15 and younger, $5 for everyone else. The admission price includes a copy of the "Quinceanera Florida Quince Guide," a magazine to help plan every aspect of the celebration.
