While we've discussed summer leather before, the topic is back on our minds because Julian's Auctions just announced a large lot of music memorabilia, which includes Michael Jackson's wing-shouldered "Thriller" bomber. It's expected to fetch $400,000, and a portion of the proceeds will, not coincidentally, go to an animal sanctuary where Jackson's bengal tiger, named Thriller, currently lives.
The night before the auction was announced, Ryan Gosling showed his mettle at the MTV Movie Awards in a moto jacket that was a nice, casual contrast to his pants Salvatore Ferragamo's navy-and-black take on tuxedo trousers. While a different Ryan was a tad more laid-back, Gosling's second skin was spot-on. Worn for a night out or a big event (including a music video shoot), summer leather looks great so long as there's air conditioning.

A very high powered, I mean top of the line dry cleaner, some clothing srores the high class kind, usually have places to send it
and most do very well
Check with a laundry that cleans leather coats. Or you could rub brown shoe polish on the scratches and buff it out. If it's not that bad it would just give your jacket some character. Hope this helps. I have a leather jacket that is 4 years old, it gets softer and better each year.
Leave them be, war scars, they look O.K. with marks. I have two black ones.
Most good dry cleaning places can send your jacket out for repair, and if the scratches aren't too bad it should come back looking almost new.
