Q: i'm looking for the most stereotypically 1970s hair, clothing, and makeup possible for a party tonight. any ideas?

pants = flares
top = bell sleeves, tie dye
accessories = huge hoop earrings and john lennon colour tinted glasses.
shoes = platforms

and if possible, add a fringe jacket

it depends on what aspect. The 70s were messed up. so just get dressed and spray yourself with a firehose or get attacked by a police canine and tell everyone your making a statement for the oppressed african american race.

BIG HAIR
Winged side flicks. (Look at Farah Fawcett photos from then, she wore the wings (I think she started it), and BIG HAIR.
Lots of eyeliner, and light blue eye shadow was "IN".
Guys wore flared jeans...and it was usual to see them with a golden tan leather or vinyl jacket (if leather was too pricey for them)..
